Troubleshooting

The city isn't in the suggestions

The atlas has cities with 15,000+ people. Pick the nearest large city and correct latitude and longitude by hand. Type the full name; English or Russian both work. If no suggestions appear at all, the atlas is still loading or failed to load: reload the page.

The chart won't build

  • Make sure date, time, latitude, longitude and time zone are filled in. The browser highlights an empty required field.
  • Write the time zone as an IANA name such as America/Chicago. Abbreviations like “CST” and bare offsets like “-6” fail. The easy way is to pick the city from the suggestions and let the zone fill itself in.
  • Error messages show up in the line above the wheel.

A yellow warning above the wheel

It's a note about the time zone or a daylight saving switch; the chart is built. What to do is on Time zones.

I can't find a section from this guide

Sections with the Pro badge appear only in Pro mode. Sign in and switch “Menu → Mode → Pro” (Modes). Forecast sections appear only after a chart is built.

Morning notifications don't arrive

  • Check that notifications are allowed for the site in your browser and phone settings.
  • On iPhone the app must be on the Home Screen, with notifications switched on from inside it.
  • Battery saver on Android can delay notifications.
  • Turn “Morning notifications” off and on again.

The PDF is blank or has no colors

Wait for the chart to finish building. Turn on “Background graphics” in the print dialog. For the Astro Sheet, choose A4 paper.

A minor planet didn't appear

Its file downloads the first time you pick it, so you need a connection. The files cover 1500–2099; outside that range the body isn't shown.

The star catalogue didn't load

Build the chart again. The catalogue downloads separately, and a weak connection can cut it off.

Things broke after an update

Reload with a cache refresh (Ctrl+Shift+R, or ⌘+Shift+R on a Mac). In the installed app, close it completely and open it again.
